As a compilation that aims at conjuring the ghosts hidden within these cassettes, hissing background noises and audio artifacts from previous recordings are part of this multiple's concept. However, vintage audio cassettes have a mind of their own. They degrade over time, their mechanisms may fail, their magnetic tapes may get caught in the player and tear.
